My dear friend, storyteller and journalist Lena Reich, had the opportunity to create a museum for trash. Yes: for goods that become obsolete and end up in garbage cans … or in the city.
She came up with the lovely story about Ruby, the daughter of a Romanian migrant worker. I was able to translate her story into a visual concept and later on into a shortfilm.
I produced a mood film to show what “Ruby” could become. But unfortunately time was short during production, so we ended up shooting a short version with highlights of Ruby’s lucid dreams – in a world of trash and hardship.
